Reduced naturalization periods

Shortened naturalization periods are available for individuals from Spanish-speaking nations (via a reciprocal process) or those with direct ties to Panamanian citizens.

1 year: Colombia and El Salvador

2 years: Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua,
Peru

3 years: Uruguay, permanent residents married to Panamanians, or
parents of Panamanian-born children
